Everything people actually ask about the Ultra, answered honestly. For the long-form case, read the review; for a head in your hands, the where-to-buy guide.

What is the flow rate (GPM) of the Siroflex Ultra?
In the United States, shower heads sold at retail are capped at 2.5 gallons per minute by federal standard, and some states set lower limits. What matters more than the number on the box is how a head uses its flow, and the Ultra spreads every drop across 80 small openings. We are measuring the real-world flow of our own unit with a bucket test, and the numbers will be published in the review.
Does it have a flow restrictor? Can I remove it?
Shower heads sold in the US generally include a restrictor so the fixture meets the federal 2.5 GPM standard. We will document exactly what is inside our own unit, with photos, in the review. Flow standards exist for a reason and the rules vary by state, so check your local requirements before modifying any fixture.
Will it fit my shower arm?
In North America, yes. The Ultra threads onto the standard 1/2 inch shower arm found in virtually every US and Canadian bathroom. It tightens by hand against an included rubber washer: no tools and no thread tape. See the two-minute install guide.
Chrome or white: what is the difference?
The finish, and as far as we can tell nothing else. Both versions use the same 80-hole spray face. White is the classic and looks the part; the chrome-look version blends in with conventional fixtures.
It is plastic. Is that a problem?
The head is molded from LEXAN, a polycarbonate better known from football helmets and safety glazing. It is light, it does not rust or corrode, and hard water cannot pit it the way it attacks plated finishes. Plastic is not a compromise here; it is the reason the thing works and costs what it costs. More in the story.
Does it really help with low water pressure?
It cannot add pressure your plumbing does not deliver, but it makes the most of what you have: 80 small openings keep the spray dense and brisk where wide-hole heads turn weak flow into a drizzle. We wrote a full guide to shower heads for low water pressure.
How do I clean it?
Unscrew it by hand, soak it in white vinegar for about half an hour, brush the holes, rinse, and thread it back on. The whole procedure is in the cleaning guide.
How long does one last?
The lore says decades, and there is very little inside to fail: no moving parts, no rubber tips to perish, no finish to flake. We are living with ours and will keep the review updated honestly if anything changes.
Is this the official Siroflex website?
No. This is an independent fan and review site with no affiliation to Siroflex S.r.l. We bought our own shower heads. Read more about this site.
