The short version: this is a small, independent review site. We do not sell anything directly, we do not run ads, and we do not want your personal information. What little data is involved is covered plainly below.

What we collect

We do not ask you to create an account, and there are no sign-up or contact forms that collect personal details. We do not knowingly collect names, email addresses, or payment information.

Like nearly every website, our host keeps standard server logs (your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested) for security and to keep the site running. We use those only to operate and protect the site.

Analytics

We use Clicky to understand, in aggregate, which pages people read and where visitors come from, so we can write better content. It may use cookies or similar technology to count visits. We look at trends, not individuals, and we do not try to identify you.

Some links on this site, mainly on the where to buy page, are affiliate links. When you click one and then make a purchase, the retailer may set a cookie so the sale is credited to us, and we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This never changes what we recommend.

As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. When you follow one of our Amazon links, Amazon’s own cookies and privacy practices apply; see Amazon’s privacy notice for details.

The services we rely on

We keep the stack deliberately small. These providers process data on our behalf or when you click through to them:

  • Amazon (affiliate links you choose to click)
  • Clicky (privacy-respecting analytics)
  • Cloudflare (content delivery and security; may set a security cookie and process request data)
  • Our web host (serves the site and keeps standard logs)

We do not sell or share your information with anyone for advertising.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can send a “Do Not Track” signal; either will not break the site. Because we collect so little, there is not much to opt out of, but if you have a question about your data you can reach us using the contact details on our about page.

Children

This site is a shower-head review for grown-ups making a purchase decision. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If we change how the site handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
